Film producer Ioanna Karavela shows you how to best map out successful strategies and raise the money you need to go into production. Whether this is funding from a public organisation, private investors or crowdfunding, this workshop will enable you to create a bespoke action plan and successfully secure cash and resources to bring your short film to life.

  • FRAMING YOUR SHORT FILM: THE KEY CINEMATOGRAPHER & DIRECTOR RELATIONSHIP

Join award winning DOP Sarah Smither as she shares her insight into how a Cinematographer brings a film to life. Through a short film case study you will learn how a DOP gets involved in a production from script to screen. You will get the opportunity to discuss how to build collaborative relationships with your camera crew and get the best out of them ensuring a high end look for your short film. Sarah has over 20 years experience in the camera department in broadcast, independent film, branded content and commercials. She has developed her lighting skills to a high level and is passionate about visual storytelling.
